Kitty cream cake step by step. Sponge cake with Hallo Kitty fondant. Ingredients for white chocolate and cream cheese cream

Hello Kitty Cake- an original and easy-to-execute idea for decorating a birthday cake. This cake will become a table decoration for both children's and adult parties, because this little white Japanese cat is familiar and loved by many girls, young women and even women :-)
In order to give the cake a recognizable shape - the shape of Kitty's head - no special devices or molds are needed. All you need to do is print out the Hello Kitty image below and cut out the sponge cakes using the template. You can decorate the cake with white chocolate and cream cheese cream, applying it using a pastry syringe, as well as elements made of colored sugar mastic or marzipan (bow, eyes and antennae).

Ingredients:

  • ready-made sponge cake
  • canned peaches, pineapples, etc. (optional);

Ingredients for white chocolate and cream cheese cream:

  • white chocolate - 250 gr. ;
  • cream cheese (for example, Philadelphia) - 375 gr. ;
  • butter - 150 gr. ;

For registration:

  • marshmallows - 100 gr. ;
  • powdered sugar - 1.5 cups;
  • lemon juice (or water) - 1 tbsp. ;
  • food coloring (red and black);
  • marmalade (for the face).

Preparation:

1. Prepare the biscuit base of the cake according to your favorite recipe. You can use this recipe.
To save time, you can use ready-made sponge cakes (2 packages) or a dry mixture for making sponge cakes;

2. Prepare butter cream. I used the recipe for buttercream with white chocolate from Larisa Volnitskaya.

3. Print it out and cut it out. We apply the resulting template to the biscuit cakes and cut them out, carefully tracing the contour with a sharp knife.

4. Coat the cakes with butter cream, if desired, add canned fruit between the cakes, coat the top and sides of the cake, then smooth out the cream using a spatula. Place the cake in the refrigerator for 1-2 hours (or overnight).
Advice: The cream must also be stored in the refrigerator. Before starting to work with the cream, so that it thaws and takes on the desired consistency, it must be kept at room temperature for about 1 hour. In extreme cases, the cream can be slightly warmed in the microwave for just a few seconds. Be very careful not to overheat the cream or it will become runny (in which case you will need to put it back in the refrigerator).

5. Prepare marshmallow mastic. We tint part of the mastic (about 2/3) pink, the rest black.

6. Using a syringe with a star attachment, pipe the cream over the entire surface of the cake. I recommend starting with the top surface and then moving on to decorating the side surfaces.

7. Roll out the mastic to a thickness of approximately 0.3-0.5 mm and form a bow from pink mastic and cut out eyes and antennae from black.
Advice: It is convenient to cut the mastic with a pizza cutter or regular scissors.

Most modern little girls adore this cute and surprisingly gentle character - the Hello Kitty kitten. The image of a kitten can be seen on girls’ accessories, clothes, interior items, posters, and bedding.

If your daughter or granddaughter, little sister or niece loves Hello Kitty, then give her a beautiful themed cake as a sweet surprise.

Recipe information

Cooking method: cake assembly.

Total cooking time: 1.5 h min.

Number of servings: 8-12 .

Ingredients:

  • sugar syrup for soaking the cake – 300-350 ml
  • butter cream made from 300 g butter and 0.5 liters of boiled condensed milk
  • mastic from 200 g marshmallows
  • food coloring
  • sponge cakes with a diameter of 28-30 cm - 3 pcs.

How to do:

  1. Cooking
  2. In advance . Round sponge cakes are perfect for making Kitty's head. Each cake needs to be trimmed a little, making ears as in the photo.
  3. Place the first sponge cake on a plate. We soak it in syrup, which we prepare from 1 glass of sugar and 1 glass of water. Bring to a boil, cool and add any flavorings you wish. I added 2 tablespoons of rum. We do not soak the bottom cake too much so that it is not too juicy and does not drip.

  4. Lubricate with butter cream, here is a detailed recipe. The cream should initially be divided into three parts to distribute evenly throughout the cake.

  5. Next we saturate the second cake layer and coat it. We do the same with the third one. We level all sides and surface with mastic. At this stage, place the assembled cake in the refrigerator for at least an hour so that the cream hardens.

  6. Let's do the decor. Take a large piece of white mastic. Roll it out on a silicone mat or cling film sprinkled with starch. You should get a thin layer with a diameter 10 cm larger than the cake.

  7. Carefully transfer the mastic onto the cake directly on the mat or film. Cover the cakes with cream and carefully smooth the mastic with your hands or a special iron so that it fits evenly and tightly. We smooth out all the irregularities. We cut off the excess at the bottom using a pizza cutter or a regular knife. You can start processing right away. We make eyes and glue them to the surface using water. We do this with all the details.
  8. We make Kitty's bow, antennae and nose. To make the mastic shine, I lubricate it with vodka at the end.
  9. We put our charming children's cake in the refrigerator. It is ready, but let it sit for 3-4 hours. This fondant-decorated cake weighs about 2.5 kg, its diameter is 30 cm, its height is 7 cm.

Note to the owner:

  • It is better to use gel dyes for coloring mastic.
  • You can put any additives inside the cake if you wish, for example, nuts, bananas, cherries.

Nowadays, children's cakes made in the form of characters from famous fairy tales and cartoons or with their images are very popular. Any child will be happy to receive such a work of culinary art on his birthday. The unusual Hello Kitty cake will make a splash on the holiday table and become its true decoration.

How to cook

At first glance, it may seem that the process of preparing this dessert is long and complicated. This is wrong. After all, the whole point here is not so much in the ingredients, but in the original decoration. You can generally take a simpler route and assemble a children's Hello Kitty cake from ready-made sponge cakes. This is exactly what we will do.

For the cake you will need 3 cake layers, from which you will need to cut out Kitty's face. You can print an image of a cat on a printer, make a stencil out of paper, put it on a biscuit and cut it out along the contour. These manipulations should be done with all three cake layers.

The cream for this wonderful delicacy can be anything. It is interesting to use not just one type of filling, but several. For example, the first cake layer can be greased with cherry curds. Cover with the second sponge cake and grease it with mashed banana. Place the remaining cake on top and cover with the most delicate cream made from any cream cheese and powdered sugar. You can take 0.5 kg of cold mascarpone, add a pinch of salt and stir. Then gradually add 100 grams of powdered sugar and beat thoroughly. Cover the top and sides with a thin layer of cream, put the Hello Kitty cake in the refrigerator to soak well.

How to decorate

We take out the dessert and start decorating. Fill with cream and decorate the top with “stars” from the edges to the middle. We work with the sides using the same principle. For decoration we will need mastic made from milk powder, condensed milk and powdered sugar. Take all ingredients in equal proportions and mix. In a particular case, you will need a little mastic, so we take the products one tablespoon at a time.

Since the image of the cat will be additionally decorated with a bow and antennae added, you will need to take a few drops of cherry syrup and a little cocoa powder. We divide our mastic into two parts. Add cocoa to one, syrup to the other. Mix thoroughly separately. Roll out the pink fondant into a 2-4 mm ribbon and fold it into a bow. We place it on the cat's ear. From dark mastic we form antennae, nose and eyes. A wonderful DIY Hello Kitty cake!

Mastic cake: ingredients

You can prepare dessert a little differently. For this recipe you will need to use not ready-made cakes, but homemade ones. Let's assemble a cake from Hello Kitty fondant.

What you will need for the cakes:

  • Mold with a diameter of 26 cm.
  • 4 eggs.
  • 4 heaped tablespoons of sugar.
  • So much flour.
  • Two tablespoons of potato or corn starch.
  • Vanillin on the tip of a knife.
  • Two handfuls of walnuts.

Ingredients for the roll:

  • 5 eggs.
  • Sugar - 5 heaped tablespoons.
  • 4 heaped tablespoons of flour.
  • A tablespoon of starch.

  • Mascarpone - 400 g.
  • Heavy cream - 500 ml.
  • Powdered sugar.
  • 10 grams of gelatin.
  • Fresh raspberries.
  • Frozen raspberries.
  • Gelatin - 10 g.
  • A tablespoon with starch on top.
  • 100 grams of sugar.
  • Mastic.
  • A pack of butter.
  • 3 tablespoons of boiled condensed milk.

Baking a biscuit

Let's start baking the sponge cake. Place the eggs in a deep bowl and add vanillin, start beating until fluffy, adding sugar. You need to work with the mixer for at least 7 minutes. Then add the sifted flour and starch, stir with a spatula in one direction, add walnuts. Line a springform pan with baking paper, pour the dough into it and bake in an oven preheated to 180 degrees until done.

We prepare the roll in the same way, but without nuts. We check readiness with a match. You need to cut off exactly half of this biscuit, and roll the second part loosely into a roll. We cut the first part into strips according to the height of the dessert. Let's start assembling the Hello Kitty cake.

Assembling the cake

Unroll the roll and apply raspberry jelly, which should be prepared in advance. To do this, sprinkle the frozen berries with sugar and put them on the fire, let them simmer for 10 minutes. Then remove from the stove, wipe off the seeds, and pour the diluted 0.5 tbsp into the puree. water starch. Fill the gelatin with water, let it swell, dissolve in a water bath and add to the berry mixture. So, the jelly is applied to the sponge cake, now you need to add 200 milliliters of whipped cream. Roll again and cut into pieces about two centimeters wide. Cut the round sponge cake into two parts. We put one cake layer back into the mold, cover it with jelly, and form the sides from the strips.

Preparing the cream. Beat the cheese and 300 milliliters of cream, add three tablespoons of powder. Pour in the gelatin soaked and dissolved on the stove. Beat again. We put this cream in a mold with a biscuit on jelly. Place 3 pieces of roll on top. Place fresh raspberries into the resulting voids. Lubricate with cream and sprinkle with berries. Then cover with cake and put it in the refrigerator.

We take out the Hello Kitty cake and grease it with cream (beat butter with condensed milk), put it in the freezer for an hour. We cover our dessert with pink fondant. We form the image of the cat using a paper template. We make all the details of the muzzle from mastic of different colors. You can decorate the Hello Kitty cake as you wish. Photos of the dessert decoration are presented in this article. Bon appetit!

We need to bake 2 biscuits in springform pans with a diameter of 17-18 cm. To prepare one biscuit, break 2 eggs into a bowl, add a pinch of salt.

Beat the eggs with a mixer until fluffy. Next, add 0.5 cups of sugar in parts, continuing to beat, and add 0.5 packets of vanilla sugar. Beat eggs with sugar for about 10 minutes until a thick, light and fluffy mass is formed. The sugar must dissolve and there should be no “audible” grains.

Add 0.5 cups of sifted flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder in three additions. The flour must be carefully stirred in with a plastic or wooden spoon (spatula).

Knead the dough for the second biscuit in the same way. If you have 2 forms, great! Bake the biscuits in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25-35 minutes. Do not open the oven! The biscuits turn out smooth, without a “cap”.

Grease the parts of the sponge cake layered with jam with cream (do not make the layer too thick). Place parts of the sponge cake, coated with cream, on top of each other, forming a cake. Line the top and sides of the cake with the same cream. Place the cake in the refrigerator for a couple of hours.

Now print out a picture of Kitty on white paper or draw it on a piece of white paper so that it fits on the cake. Cut out the picture and place it on top of the cake. Trace the outlines with a toothpick.

Remove the paper. Melt the chocolate in a water bath and place it in a pastry bag. Let the chocolate cool at room temperature, then cut off the small end of the bag. Carefully outline the contours of the picture with chocolate, draw eyes, a nose, antennae, a bow, arms, legs and immediately place the cake in the refrigerator for 20-30 minutes.

Now you can start decorating the cake, for this I always use protein custard. Color the cream in the desired colors with food coloring, place it in pastry bags without nozzles. Cut off the small ends and then, squeezing out the cream in neat dots, cover the picture with it. This will take a lot of time, but you have to try!
All free parts of the top of the Hello Kitty cake around the picture are also dotted with white or pink cream. I decorated the sides with pink cream using a star tip.

Let the very tasty, bright, tender Hello Kitty cake for a girl soak in the refrigerator for 5-6 hours and you can surprise and delight your child!

Bon appetit!
