Christina: I can explain why we invited you to meet here. When we decided to do an interview with you, Garik suddenly said: “Choose a place. Basically, I don't care. Although listen, maybe let’s eat that divine chicken...” That is, he associated this restaurant with chicken. And only a couple of days later we remembered that it was here that we celebrated our wedding this summer. Well, as noted. At the wedding itself there were two of us - we didn’t invite anyone. And then, after the registry office and a walk, we just came here to have dinner. That's our whole wedding.

Garik: Yes, the two of us went and signed. No one except our loved ones even knew about this.

K.: After the registry office we went to the park near Novodevichy Convent. We were dressed quite simply, but we were both in white. I'm in a dress, Garik is in a shirt and shorts. This was in June. I have a bridal bouquet and a garter. I thought: now I’ll take it and give my bouquet to the first girl I come across. And a girl appears, much older than me, so plump... I ask her: “Excuse me, please, are you married?” - "No, not married". I say: “We have a wedding today! Please take my bridal bouquet." She was confused, but she took the bouquet, thanked her and smiled sincerely. We didn't even understand whether she recognized us or not. I'm glad that everything turned out so beautifully for us.

Indeed, everything is very beautiful. What about the garter?

K.: We gave the garter to our eternal groom Timur Batrutdinov, who still won’t get married.

Tell me, did you originally want this kind of wedding?

K.: Yes, we did not elevate this event to a cult: there must be a veil, there are many guests. I can’t say that with the advent of the stamp in the passport in our life together something has changed. It was a formality, so we did everything the way we wanted - not for friends, but for ourselves. We spent the day together, we had good mood, we walked, took pictures.

G.: We promised each other: if we ever want to celebrate our wedding, we will. Any day, any year, anywhere. We'll gather our friends, Christina will wear a chic dress and veil, I'll wear a jacket, and we'll call it our wedding.

K.: Of course, we will do this for our family and friends.

And now your parents and numerous sisters are not offended?

K.: Naturally, we consulted with them. For them, the main thing is that we love each other, and whether we celebrate or not is nonsense.

G.: We then repeatedly gathered our parents for various reasons. They all got to know each other. So in this regard we are doing well.

K.: I want to tell you, Vadik, one more thing interesting story. After the wedding dinner at this very restaurant, we went home - we now live mostly outside the city. As you know, we have two dogs. Summer, great weather, great mood, we come home and go out with them for a walk. Our neighbor in the village is Alexander Marshal, we see each other often, he visits us at home, we visit him. And I offered to go see him. We came up and started talking on the porch, and we said, casually: “And we got married today!” - "Wow! Listen, today is my birthday. My son came to see me and we sat together. Come in, let’s celebrate both events.” It was June 7th.

G.: And it was such a great evening!

Even in your story, guys, you can feel this warm energy. I look at you and it seems like you have been together all your life. You complement each other so much!

K.: And this despite the fact that we are completely different. But we really complement each other. What I lack, Garik has, and vice versa. Garik needed such an engine in life, but I just love creating everything, arranging it - in general, acting.

G.: I am very slow and calm, I need time to unwind. In the morning, before I get to the bath, I need to sit on the bed for a couple of minutes, collect my thoughts, and scratch the dog. And Kristinka... If she is late for something, the world stops, and everyone should deal only with her problem. The driver must drive, I don’t know, over curbs, over other cars. I think differently: well, I’m late, it’s okay, I’ll call, let you know, we’ll negotiate. Just now, for example, we were on our way to a meeting with you and were late. Of course, it's their own fault - they chose this place. It’s Sunday, all of Moscow is free, but this is where the traffic jam is. I sit quietly, because we can’t change anything. Christina: “Let me out, I’ll walk, I’m uncomfortable in front of Vadim. How can you sit so calmly?” Or here's another one. Kristina likes, for example, festival films - something to think about. And I love “fast food”: I looked at it and forgot about it. I’m reading a book now - “Inferno” by Dan Brown, and Christina says: “What are you reading? This is not high literature.” Or the same theater... For me to go somewhere? Maybe I even want to, but I'm lazy. I’d rather just sit, poke something on my iPad or play on my PlayStation. And as soon as Christina and I started living together - that’s it, I started going to the theater, I started watching this ice show on Channel One, in which she now participates, began to understand everything that was happening there. In general, thanks to my wife, I began to gradually become more acculturated. That is, we are absolutely two different planets, at the same time, we are together, and we also have our own little planet - our daughter.

K.: You know, Vadim, since I met Garik, a lot has changed in my life. He is mine great love, this is the first real love. And I can absolutely say, the only one, I don’t need anything else and will never need anything else. The happiness that appeared in me on a personal level somehow spread to everything around me: to work, to communication with the outside world. One head it's good, but two better. It somehow became easier to overcome problems with my spouse. Now, I guess I'm absolutely happy man. I was incredibly lucky with Garik. His views on many things no longer surprised me, but only began to delight me. ( Addresses Garik.) It's great that I have you.

G.: It’s nice to hear such things addressed to you. You can listen to them endlessly. I'll tell you, Vadim, that Christina is the only woman I want to be with. I love her very much. Well, the truth is, she is the ideal woman for me, in all respects. ( Smiling.) And we don’t have this: “I am the master of the house, and it will be as I say” or “I am a mother, and I need this and that...”

In general, a complete idyll. As far as I know, Christina loves to cook.

K.: I love it, yes.

G.: She cooks amazingly. She will cook anything in a matter of minutes and with pleasure. Just give her the opportunity. For example, yesterday I decided to cook myself scrambled eggs. I take a frying pan, put it on the fire, take out the oil. I don’t even have time to pour it when Christina appears: “So, this oil is not olive oil - she determined it by the smell - it’s sesame oil, you don’t need to fry it in it. And I need another frying pan, this one is too small for three eggs...” One, two, three - that’s it, I don’t do anything anymore.

TO.: ( Smiling.) My mother is an excellent cook. But there was no such thing as her teaching me this. I was constantly busy: first sports, then theatre studio, institute I think if my mother had helped in time, she could have realized herself as a cook. Apparently, these skills were passed on to me at the genetic level. I know a lot of recipes, although most often I don’t rely on them pure form. I replace some ingredients, remove others. I love this creative process.

With your busy schedule, do you still have time for all these recipes and ingredients?

G.: She has very little free time. She acts in films, rehearses in the theater, and trains on the ice day and night. Constantly takes risks. She has a bruise here and there. Plus, we also have a little daughter, Christina feeds her and fusses with her constantly, and hardly sleeps at all.

Do you take your bruises and abrasions calmly?

K.: Absolutely, I’m an athlete. I wanted to learn something new; I had never actually skated before. Several years ago I was offered to participate in one charity project. At the ice arena, we, the artists, skated with children from orphanages. The event lasted all day, some artists replaced others. I arrive, put on my skates, and the presenter announces to me: “And now everyone’s favorite actress, Kristina Asmus, is coming out on the ice.” I go out on the ice and the first thing I do is fall. Here it was no longer me who helped the kids skate, but they helped me. Honestly, I didn't think it was so difficult.

Christina has performances at the Ermolovsky Theater, filming, “ glacial period" You, Garik, are more constant in your passions: for 11 years you resident Comedy Club on TNT. What did this project give you personally?

G.: For me, this is no longer a project, but a part of my life. Hand on heart, I didn't think it would last this long. Comedy Club is the platform where I can realize my creative ambitions.

What do you think is the reason for the enormous success of this project?

G.: I believe that we simply found ourselves in our time and in our audience. Previously, in addition to student KVN, there were programs on television that were more aimed at older generation, - “Full House” and “Town”. We occupied, in fact, a free niche. Our viewer is such a middle link, middle class. And we speak to our viewers in their language. Here, for example, is a miniature about a husband suddenly coming home, and his wife cheating on him with a neighbor. In “Full House” they would say: oh, I’ll call the police now, in KVN they will make do with a joke, and we will play a miniature about what really happens in such a situation, and it can be very harsh humor. As they say, you can’t erase the words from the song.

Well, yes, such healthy cynicism, and in fact you make it very funny... Let's return to the personal topic. Kristina, you and I met a year ago on my air on Radio Russia - Culture. This was literally a week and a half before your due date. You then very matter-of-factly told me: “Today is December 27, at the beginning of January I will give birth, on January 24 and 25 I will play the premiere of the play “Hamlet”, on the 27th I have a rehearsal.” This clear plan of yours surprised me very much.

K.: I am such a person in life. I believe that if you really want something, you can definitely achieve it. You just have to act.

Garik, weren’t you against Christina returning to the stage so quickly?

G.: Even if I were against it, Vadim, it wouldn’t change anything. Movement is very important for Christina. I'm the mattress. By the way, our dogs are similar to us in this regard. Patrick runs around the apartment from morning to night, absolutely crazy, impossible to catch. And the second one, Bruce, looks like me.

K.: Bruce appeared unexpectedly and very funny. We went to the pet store to get food for Patrick. I chose the food, went up to the checkout, and looked - Garik was holding some kind of dog in his arms.

G.: Bruce looked at me with such eyes that I understood: that’s it, I have to take him. I ask: “What breed is it?” - “Basenji. The breed is five thousand years old and these are non-barking dogs.” There is a legend that in ancient times, when animals could talk, they heard from one of the people the most important secret and since then they vowed never to tell it. Egyptian pharaohs they were given for good luck. They considered dogs of this breed to be living amulets. I immediately realized that Bruce was my copy. He and I are lying on the couch, reading all sorts of things on the Internet, coming up with some miniatures... In his “face” he is very similar to Batrutdinov. He has the same wrinkles... ( Smiling.)

On the phone, Christina jokingly told me that you have three children, meaning dogs too. Moreover, you purchased one of them literally before the birth of your daughter, and the second - immediately after birth. For what? Is one child really not enough?

G.: Vadim, Christina is already tormenting me so that we get a third dog.

K.: I'm crazy about dogs. I even have a dream. Well, I won’t fully share it, but this way... open a shelter for dogs. There are even more extensive thoughts on this matter. In the meantime, I am persuading Garik to buy a third dog. ( Smiling.)

G.: And I’m inclined to persuade Christina to have a second child.

K.: I also want this myself, but I say: “Let me work for another year, I’ll come to my senses a little.” And he: “Well, please, give me a second one.” ( Smiling.)

Christina, you seem like a soft girl, but I know for sure that you have a strong character.

K.: You know, Vadik, after the birth of my daughter, people around me began to say that I became calmer, although I don’t think so. I don’t know, maybe I began to behave differently when communicating with friends. And so... there is less time for yourself. Now I get up earlier, go to bed later, do a lot of things at the same time. Feeding is a whole story. I have a child in one hand, a dog in the other. I feed them, while at the same time I’m trying to somehow collect myself. Previously, I rushed into any adventure - creative, sports, organizational. I was so confident that everything would work out for me that, without thinking for a long time, I agreed to a lot. Now I have responsibility not only for my life, but also for Nastyushkina. Filming? Where? When? What amenities are there for children? I think about her all the time.

You gave birth in Moscow, while many of your colleagues specifically go abroad.

K.: We also considered this option. But not because it is better there. In general, I believe that it doesn’t matter where to give birth, it’s important who gives birth. They just wanted privacy, a change of scenery. But the birth fell during a busy working period: December, January - Garik had corporate parties. I was faced with a choice: either give birth, figuratively speaking, with Garik by the hand, so that he could be nearby, that is, in Moscow, or without him. I chose the first one.

Was Garik present at the birth?

G.: Yes, but I didn’t plan it, it just happened that way.

K.: To be honest, I didn’t really want this myself. Why should he watch this process? And let him see the child as clean and beautiful. Of course, Garik was not in the room itself, but behind the doors.

G: But I saw everything through the glass. Kept out last bit of strength. The moment when my daughter was born, the first second of her life, her first sound - it cannot be compared with anything. They immediately put her in my arms and said: “That’s it, you’re a dad now.” The doctors said funny: “Well, you won’t confuse her with anyone. This is definitely your child." She really was very similar to me, although now she is completely different.

K.: I look at Garik’s childhood photos - well, just one face. Copy. Now my features are already visible too.

G.: She is such a girly girl, a real doll. Kristinkin's hair color, but she was born dark.

Your daughter, one might say, is the Snow Maiden. She was born shortly after the New Year, almost on the eve of Christmas, on January 5th.

G.: We really wanted her not to be in New Year was born so that there would be no confusion of holidays. During pregnancy, Christina said: “So, the first and second of January must be passed.” We survived the first and second - well, that’s it, now it’s possible.

K.: The fourth of January is the day of the angel Anastasia. And the most interesting thing is that we didn’t even know about it, but we really wanted to name our daughter Nastya. All miraculously coincided.

How did you prepare at home for the arrival of your daughter?

K.: Oh, what happened there! After the maternity hospital, I didn’t recognize our house: it was all strewn with balloons, flowers and garlands. Garik was in cahoots with our parents. In one of the rooms I saw two compositions of balloons with the inscription: “Nastenka, welcome home!” and “Darling, thank you for your daughter!” They stayed there for five months.

By the way, why did you want to name your daughter Nastya and nothing else?

G.: We decided on our daughter’s name even before Christina became pregnant.

K.: I can tell you the backstory. Garik and I are driving in the car. It's winter, I have a scarf on my head. Suddenly Garik turns to me and says: “Listen, you look so much like Nastenka from Morozko.” Just unbelieveble! Tell me something like Nastenka.” Then from time to time he would make fun of me and distort phrases from a fairy tale in a girl’s voice. We both wanted a child very badly, almost from the very beginning of our relationship. There wasn’t even any talk about the wedding yet, and we imagined that we were husband and wife, that our daughter Nastenka was sleeping in the next room, and we were talking to each other in whispers.

G.: So we already had everything rehearsed...

And the “premiere” was a success! Christina, tell me, didn’t you want to dissolve in your child for as long as possible, enjoy motherhood, not think about work, about the theater?

K.: Of course, there were such thoughts! And not just thoughts - I voiced them constantly. I actually had a postpartum freak - fortunately, it didn’t last long. I didn’t really want even my closest relatives, except Garik, to come to my maternity hospital. These first days I wanted to be alone with my daughter, smell her, touch her, I wanted to establish this energetic connection. This was very important for me. After being discharged, I relaxed a little. And so many responsibilities fell at once. You're right, Vadim, I'm always busy. But, one way or another, I spend a lot of time with my daughter. It’s not like I, like a good half of the average population, work from bell to bell, leave home in the morning and return late in the evening. I can leave home at three or four o'clock in the afternoon. In addition, I continue to feed, and feeding requires that you are constantly near the child.

Do you take Nastya with you to the theater?

K.: No, no. Never. Yes, and there is no need for this. We have the best grandmothers in the world who help us out a lot.

G.: But my daughter is a frog traveler. We all went together to my filming in Riga.

K.: And for my shooting - in Petrozavodsk. But on film set I didn't take it, of course. We generally try not to show it to strangers. And in Europe we already vacationed together - Nastyukha was five months old then.

Wow! And it was not a pity to expose such a small child to stress

in airplane?

K.: We went by train. It takes longer, of course, but it is the most comfortable transport for my daughter.

Garik, how has your life changed with the advent of your daughter?

G.: Nastyukha is like a magnet for me. If I pick her up, that’s it, I don’t need anything else. Even at night, if I’m still awake, I wait for her to wake up. I am not kidding.

K.: But we are very lucky with this: our child sleeps soundly for twelve hours. Since the birth of our daughter, we have had virtually no sleepless nights. Now she only sometimes starts waking up - she’s cutting her teeth, or just checking who’s nearby. And here we are sitting talking or watching a movie, we hear - Nastyukha woke up. Garik immediately has such a happy face: “I woke up! Hooray! I'm first, I'm first! And he runs to her quickly.

G.: This is very cool. You pick up a tiny creature who, when she wakes up, still doesn’t understand where she is. And what is happening around. Nastyukha puts her head to my chest and dozes off. Her favorite pastime is taking off my glasses or sticking her finger in my mouth. With her appearance, completely new qualities were revealed in me. This appeared strong feeling depending on this small, defenseless creature, which I don’t even know how to characterize, that is, you don’t experience such feelings for anyone in the world. This feeling makes you run up the stairs to her, look at her while she sleeps, kiss her when she wakes up, feed her...

K.: I’ve probably never seen Garik so active.

Wonderful! Christina, Garik, you are probably already getting ready to celebrate the New Year - your first with your daughter. I’m curious, what are the most pleasant and unexpected memories from your childhood associated with the New Year that you keep in your memory?

K.: When I was little, my mother mostly celebrated the New Year at work - so her shifts fell out, and my father stayed with us. And one day - I was sixteen or seventeen years old, I no longer lived with my parents - my dad had to stay alone on a holiday. Naturally, I decided to be with him, I was driving in the car, Putin’s speech had already started on the radio, I flew home shouting: “Dad, dad!” I enter the room, and there mom and dad are sitting holding hands. And it was like this touching moment that I remembered him for the rest of my life. This is happiness. Of course, I also strive for this. I dream of living with my husband for twenty or thirty years, winking, sending emoticons to each other, hugging and holding hands. This is what we are striving for, and, thank God, so far it feels like our candy-bouquet period is just beginning.

G.: ( Smiling.) About the New Year: when I was seven years old, I was taken to christmas tree to the Kremlin. There I saw a microphone for the first time, and I wanted to say something into it. I went on stage with the words: “I am Santa Claus, hello.” I loved the way my voice sounded! So loud and loud!

You see, your childhood “speech” turned out to be prophetic.

G.: Mom, taking me away from the stage, apologized for a long time... New Year is, of course, family celebration Firstly. Nastyukha was generally lucky: December 31st with gifts, five days later another gift - for her birthday.

Have you already decided how you will celebrate the New Year?

TO.: Good question. He torments us ourselves.

G.: Most likely, I will work on New Year itself; holidays are our job.

K.: But I still hope that you won’t work. I would like to celebrate the New Year together with my husband. I even thought about calling his director and “booking” Garik’s performance for the New Year. So that on such an important, first holiday for the child, the husband would be at home.

G.: And I would come and say: “Wife, what are you doing? Who are you spending your family budget on?!” ( Smiling.) But even if we have to work, we will still celebrate everything together, well, not on the 31st, but on the second or third of January. Moreover, Nastyukha’s fifth birthday is turning one year old.
