I usually don’t watch these types of programs, but this year I decided to catch up. And I didn’t just watch the MUZ-TV Awards, I even voted for the nominees.

This year's presenters were Ksenia Sobchak, Maxim Galkin, Lera Kudryavtseva and Dmitry Nagiev.

The Awards began from the Red Carpet - the presenters greeted the celebrity guests at the entrance to the Olympic Stadium.

Most of the stars looked stylish and elegant. The only ones I didn't like were Bianca and Glucose's outfits.

Under her spacious outfits, Sobchak was already hiding a fairly decent belly. Her interesting situation that didn’t stop the other presenters from making fun of her by asking her to undress or have sex right on stage. These vulgar jokes were not written in advance, but appeared in the process of improvisation, when the screen on the stage froze and the presenters had to play for time. It turned out badly for them, they stood and “talked wonderful nonsense.” To help stall for time, they called Baskov, who extremely reluctantly went on stage.

Ksenia Sobchak called Baskov a “fireman beetle” because of his bright red shiny outfit. Later he answered her in kind - he said that an old drawstring from Bolshoi Theater and that he finally sees expensive jewelry on her, and not Swarovski.

Then Kirkorov came on stage, followed by Sergei Zverev with a proposal to sing the song “Yes, yes, yes this is the Caucasus”

The hosts joked about Galkin's new show, remembered Alla Borisovna in their hearts, Sobchak and Kudryavtseva offered to punch each other in the face. And there was also a lot of advertising, where would we be without it.

Nominations and winners of the MUZ-TV Award 2016

"Best Album": Dima Bilan - “Don’t be silent.” I voted for Valeria, but I thought that Lazarev would win. In the end, the victory went to Bilan. I don't like this singer, but what he does for disabled children deserves respect. I think that this is also why many people voted for him.

Bilan also won the nomination with the song “Don’t be silent” "Best Video". I voted for Ani Lorak, I love this singer very much, but I thought that Timothy or Bilan would win. Here my expectations were met.

« Best Song»: Timati feat. Record Orchestra – “Eggplant” I voted for the song " drunken sun", but expected to see "Exhibit" as the winner

"Breakthrough of the Year": Alekseev "Drunk Sun". I voted for him in this nomination. I am very glad that he was the winner. Alekseev performed this song on the Olimpiysky stage and I really liked his number.

« Best Rock Artist» : Leningrad. I voted for Nargiz, but I was sure that Leningrad would win in this nomination. And so it happened.

Leningrad opened the MUZ-TV Prize with the song "Exhibit". Remember, as they said in the advertisement, “Even he himself doesn’t know what Shnurov will do at this Prize.” But nothing much happened except that new vocalist appeared on stage with vulgar makeup and an equally “delightful” outfit. Well, Shnurov reduced his speech to one phrase:

I can’t help but remember the words of the great Russian poet Yegor Letov: “our people love all kinds of shit.”

« Best Pop Group» : SEREBRO. I voted for BandEros, but for some reason I thought that A-studio would win. I don’t like Serebro, but I liked their performance at the MUZ-TV Awards. So sweet and romantic.

« Best Duet»: Grigory Leps and Ani Lorak - “Leave in English.” I'm glad they won, I voted for this duet. Ani Lorak performed the song "Hold My Heart". She also had a good number, but not as bright as last year.

"The best concert show» : Danila Kozlovsky "The Big Dream of an Ordinary Man"​. I randomly voted for Gagarina, since I had not been to a single concert.

« Best Hip-Hop project": Basta. I voted for Timati, I don’t like Basta at all. New song I didn’t like Basta and Gagarina’s “The Voice” at all

"Best song on foreign language»: EMIN – Boomerang. This came as a complete surprise even to Emin himself, because in addition to him, Max Fadeev and Polina Gagarina were also nominated. I voted for Fadeev, but expected Gagarina to win; her song, after all, took silver at Eurovision. I had never even heard Emin’s song before.

"The best female video» : Anita Tsoi - “Without Things” I voted for Sati Casanova’s song “My Happiness Is Sleeping.” She's incredible beautiful clip, filmed in Jordan. Anita Tsoi also had a very original video and her victory was well deserved, in my opinion. I liked her speech at the presentation of the plate, it was very sincere and emotional.

"The best male video» : Timati feat. Record Orchestra – “Eggplant”. I voted for this song, but I thought that Vorobyov would win with the song “Crazy”.

« Best Performer»: Sergey Lazarev. I voted for Leps, I would be very happy with Agutin’s victory. But I had no doubt that Lazarev would win. Personally, I don’t like this singer and his song from Eurovision is already quite boring. On the Olympic stage he repeated his Eurovision number.

« Best Female Performer»: Polina Gagarina. Her victory was also expected and well deserved, but I voted for Ani Lorak.

There were also special nominations from MUZ-TV. One of them is "World Breakthrough of the Year" went to Sergei Lazarev. I think that this was given to him as a consolation prize, so that he would not be upset about Eurovision. Well, just in case he doesn’t win in any of the categories. He was entered in four, but won only one, while Bilan and Timati each took away two plates.

In general, I am satisfied with the results of the MUZ-TV Awards 2016; I don’t think that the plates were bought/paid for. I feel sorry for Nyusha, who was nominated in several categories, but did not win any. She had the most bright show at the MUZ-TV Awards 2016. Most artists focused on light show and special effects, and Nyusha had a gorgeous dance number with beautiful costumes.

And what I didn’t like most of all was Yegor Creed’s performance - a bunch of people, scenery, and Creed running and jumping between them and a soundtrack singing instead.

I expected more from this Award; the numbers did not impress me. Of the presenters, only Sobchak liked it, the rest were constantly lost. As for me, it turned out to be a C grade. But the MUZ-TV Award proudly calls itself the most grandiose event in music show business. Anyone who hasn’t watched the MUZ-TV 2016 “Energy of the Future” Award has not lost anything. I regret that I spent time watching this ceremony or whatever the correct name for this event is.

The ceremony of presenting the “MUZ-TV Award 2016. Energy of the Future” took place at the Olimpiyskiy Sports Complex. Representatives of the Russian pop scene competed for the title of best in 11 categories. This year, the award coincided with the 20th anniversary of the MUZ-TV channel. Dmitry Nagiyev and Lera Kudryavtseva greeted everyone on the red carpet. They talked with the nominees, wished them good luck at the event and, of course, victory.

Alexey Vorobyov was greeted with thunderous applause. He was asked how to be the main bachelor in Russia. The singer could not find anything to say, but only confirmed that his heart is still free, he is not dating anyone.

Hockey players from CSKA, appearing on the red carpet, said that they would support Leningrad that evening, which would compete for the award in the “Best Song” category. The rock band will be remembered by all music lovers for their song “Exhibit”.

Victoria Daineko was highly anticipated at the MUZ-TV awards. They congratulated her on the birth of her little daughter and noted how great shape she was in. The singer appeared before the public in a floor-length white dress with a slit that emphasized her slender legs.

Dmitry Nagiyev talked with Natalya Ionova, who came to the ceremony. The presenter noted that he was impressed by the candid photographs of the performer on Instagram. Alexander Fayfman Kristina Orbakaite announced the winner in this nomination - the group "Leningrad". Their hit “Exhibit” is sung by the whole country. Sergei Shnurov refused to be photographed with the award and disappeared backstage.

In the category “Best Album” were presented Dima Bilan “Don’t be silent”, Egor Creed “Bachelor”, Sergey Lazarev “The best”, Valeria “This is the time of love”, Emin “8 falls”. The winner was Dima Bilan, who took away the second plate at this award.

The “Special Prize” went to the composer of the decade, Maxim Fadeev. The award was presented by actress Anastasia Zavorotnyuk and figure skater Pyotr Chernyshev, as well as Lev Leshchenko.

Outstanding cardiologist Leo Bakeria was also given a special award.

The next plate was presented in the category “Breakthrough of the Year” by Yana Rudkovskaya and Alexander Revva. Such performers as Yulianna Karaulova, Alexeev, Artik and Asti, “Time and Glass”, Hanna competed for the right to receive the prize. Honorary award received Alexeev.

The following groups are represented in the “Best Pop Group” nomination: IOWA, “Band’Eros”, “Degrees”, A’Studio, Serebro. The right to announce the winner in this category went to Alla Dukhova and Leonid Agutin. They were the ones who announced that the girl group Serebro had won.

In the second stage, the Prize’s academicians will take part in voting for the winners in each nomination in parallel with the channel’s viewers.

Accordingly, after a two-year break, the Russian capital awaited the Muz-TV 2016 ceremony with special trepidation.

About 20 thousand spectators gathered at the Olimpiysky, who, with bated breath, were in anticipation of the incredible beauty and scope of the Show - “Future Energy!”
MUZ-TV General Director Arman Davletyarov said on the eve of the event: “We are proud to have been showing best music and for 14 years we have been creating a world-class show - the MUZ-TV Award. Viewers of the MUZ-TV channel are active, advanced young people - the future of our country. Therefore, in this twentieth anniversary year for the channel, we called the MUZ-TV Award 2016 “Energy of the Future”!

One of the most sought-after directors has become the new director of the MUZ-TV Prize recent years- Vasily Barkhatov. Vasily is known to the general public, first of all, for his opera productions within the walls of the Bolshoi and Mariinsky theaters, as well as leading opera houses Europe. Besides classical scene, Vasily’s directorial talent manifested itself in a wide range: from bold and unexpected works on Channel One, such as “The Phantom of the Opera”, “Yesterday live”, “Olivier Show”, to mass shows on Red Square.

The hosts of the 2016 awards are the eccentric and extraordinary Maxim Galkin, Ksenia Sobchak, Lera Kudryavtseva and Dmitry Nagiev.

According to established tradition, guests and spectators began to gather at the Olimpiyskiy long before the official start of the concert.

The red carpet started at 4 p.m.

The winner of the award in the category “Best Performer” was Polina Gagarina, the award was presented to her by Danila Kozlovsky and Lolita.

The wonderful actor Danila Kozlovsky was not just the guest of honor at the ceremony, but also a nominee for the prestigious music award. The actor became a laureate in the category “Best Concert Show” for his magnificent music project"The Big Dream of an Ordinary Man", which premiered in last year on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater. Upon receiving the award, Danila thanked his friend Philip Kirkorov, who inspired the actor and helped him implement this project.
