Sketch of the scene in pencil. How to draw a theater curtain in Photoshop

Instructions

Draw a rectangle. Divide it roughly into four parts. Parts of the curtain will be placed on the sides and top. And below is the direct place of performance – the floor.

Draw straight vertical lines on the left side. There should be at least 5 of them. Then draw 2-3 more, but shorter ones. And after that they are very short, about half as long as the first lines.

Do the same on the right side. Only everything in mirror image.

Place a dot in the middle of the top line of the rectangle. Draw curved lines from it. It’s as if you’re depicting a wide-stretched letter “l”. Draw a few more above them. These will be the folds of the fabric. The strokes don't have to be the same. Make them different in both length and thickness. The ends should reach the beginning of the shortest vertical lines. At their junction, draw lines that smoothly diverge to the sides. These will be the curtain holders.

Draw several parallel straight lines bottom of the rectangle. They will represent a plank floor.

Make darkening with deep shading in places that should indicate folds. The same applies to the folds at the top of the curtain. Here the shadow should follow the arched lines. For the effect of spotlight lighting, draw a circle and within it paint everything half a tone lighter. Pay special attention to the color of the plank floor. It cannot be completely monochromatic. Mix several types brown paint or add a little black. Draw the lines of cracks in the floor with a thick line.

When planning to paint a portrait, landscape or still life, a novice artist is invariably faced with what needs to be depicted folds. These could be folds of clothing or draperies. They are drawn in different ways, depending on the nature and purpose of the work. Sometimes the fashion designer also needs to draw folds. Pleats on the skirt are the most affordable option, so it’s better to start with it.

You will need

  • - paper;
  • - a simple pencil;
  • - colored pencils or paints.

Instructions

Draw the skirt of the model you need. If this is a model with a counter fold, then divide the bottom line of the belt in half. From this current, draw 2 diverging lines downwards. Draw lines to the bottom of the skirt. The piece of fabric located between the folds seems slightly shorter than the length of the product. Therefore, step back a little from the bottom and draw a straight or slightly curved line between the folds. When painting such folds, no tricks are required; fill the skirt with one color, and outline the contours of the product and the folds of the folds with a darker color or paint.

To make a skirt or skirt with longitudinal folds, divide the bottom line of the belt into an arbitrary number of parts and add dots. From these points, draw slightly diverging lines downwards. Draw them longer than the skirt itself. Connect the end point of the fold to the intersection of the bottom of the skirt and the adjacent fold. Connect all other points in the same way. You should get something like " ". Color the skirt in the same way as in the previous version.

Soft folds are conveyed mainly by chiaroscuro. Draw a product with such folds - for example, or the back of a musketeer's cloak. Please note that if the bottom of the product is projected onto a plane, it will appear not straight, but wavy. Change this line.

Externally, it will look like a large tent, with a beautiful entrance made of multi-colored columns and a covering. The design will also include a bright garland of flags and musicians.

Necessary materials:

Drawing steps:

  1. We are planning with a simple pencil general shape puppet theater, which has the shape of a large tent. To do this, draw a horizontal line at the bottom of the sheet. We draw two vertical lines from its ends. At the top we will add a corner that will become a dome. On the left side we will add a corner of the tent.

  2. We finish drawing the entrance to the puppet theater in the foreground. We will place vertical columns of short length on the sides and connect them with a long strip. Below it we draw another horizontal line to add volume.

  3. We complement the columns with wide ribbons that will be braided around the elements. To show this in the drawing, we depict arcuate lines on objects. We also detail the lower part of the entrance. Let’s add the inscription “Puppet Theatre”. You should also draw a small window under the visor, which will be the theater ticket office.

  4. From the left to the right side we draw a long arc. On it we depict flags that will float in the air from the wind. We secure the garland of flags on both sides using vertical lines.

  5. Let's add the top of the theater in the form of a circle. Now let's finish drawing the dolls that will stand on the top of the canopy and play different instruments. This includes a violin, a drum, a flute, and tambourines. There will be four characters in total. They are all different in appearance.

We paint the pillars and the lower part of the canopy with light shades of red and green, alternating colors. Then let's add more dark shades to create volume.

  7. The puppet theater itself will have yellow. That's why we paint the tent bright yellow pencil. Then we add orange tones along the contour using a pencil. We will also paint them near the cash register window.

  8. Let's take three different colors pencils and color the top point of the theater dome and the flags on the string. To do this, we use a red, green and blue pencil.

  9. Let's move on to dolls that play on various musical instruments. For this purpose, we take pencils of dark green, yellow, orange, red and burgundy. We combine them with each other and, if necessary, add new shades.

  10. On last stage You should take a black pencil and draw it along all the contour lines. Puppet theater drawings have become much more expressive and attractive.
